Does node name change on very restart
Does the name of node (Node name) change on every restart?
I'm looking at the below landing page:
System -> General -> Systems,Nodes & Requestors
I have observed that the name changed after restart.

Hi Haria,
No, the name will not change during restart. It seems to be your team or admin have manually modified the name then it will be changed during the restart.

Please find below 3 parameters that cause the node ID to change. This change would also affect the search functionality.
- Host name
- System name
- Pega temp directory path
pxSystemNodeID is the hash value of above parameters. So, if any of these 3 values change, then the pxSystemNodeID value will be changed, breaking the search functionality.

Unlike pxSystemNodeID value, the System Name is not autogenerated by PRPC. So, the answer to your question would be "No". The name of current System is dictated by the following Dynamic System Setting value -
prconfig/identification/systemName/default
If you have observed the System Name got changed after a restart, it is most likely that your Pega server administrator have manually changed the value.
You can inspect the same by opening the DSS (prconfig/identification/systemName/default) and inspecting the "History" tab to see who and when tchanged he System name.
