Uploading records from lut-table in expression sheet
Hi,
I've received a file with over 900 records, which I'm supposed to upload in a lut-file and then add to an expression sheet in my logic. But I'm not looking forward to adding all those hundreds of records manually to the expression sheet. Is there a way to facilitate this?

The easy way to read all the 900 records in the ExpresstionSheet would be-
- Transfer and save all the records in the database from flat file (using tools like SQL Developer).
- In Decision Planner (DP), create a new lookup table (LUT). Now open the LUT in Strategy Director (SD), click on "Define Data sources" to configure database driver/jars, click on "Create JDBC Connection" to connect to database and load the table data.
- In SD, add the LUT file from Package Explorer. Create a new Expression sheet and under "Column Details" - check the "Allow lookup from external table" & provide the LUT file name.
- Make sure you select the correct column-name in Lookup Column in this tab.

I'm not sure I completely understand how this method will solve my problem. I have no problem added my 900 records to the lut-table. But how do I avoid adding all those 900 records one by one to the expression sheet, even when checking the option 'Allow lookup from external table'.

Hi Francois,
You do not need to add all 900 records one-by-one when you use 'Allow lookup from external table'. Only mapping of the columns is required (not 900 rows).
If you are still not sure how to do it, I will share some sample screenshots for your reference.
