Question

Screen Flow
Can anyone suggest the solution for below scenario
We have a requirement where screen flow contains 4 screens where on start of the flow I want to show 2nd screen (Assignment). How can this be achieved without compromising the Screen Flow advantages.
So if require one can go back to 1st screen after launch of flow but by default it should show the 2nd Flow action (assignment)

Hi Mridul,
As you can find from above discussion using Finish Assignment in the pre-activity solves this. But in my application UI is customized so when i used this approach the buttons are getting disappeared.
I'm not sure whether there are any critical impacts if we use finish assignment there.

Hello,
Maybe this discussion can help: Jump screen in the screen flow.

Hello Marc,
I have gone through the discussion and tried using Finish Assignment Activity in Pre Activity of First Assignment so that 1st assignment is done and it will go to 2nd assignmnet. So on launch of Screen Flow it is directly going to 2nd Screen(Assignment) but in the tabbed navigation it is showing 1st tab, also i'm not able to go back to first screen or even the next (3rd) screen. When i click on back button or next button it is displaying Confirm Harness with message This action is not allowed as they are outside the current transaction.
Could you please suggest on this

Hi,
Well calling FinishAssigment activity in Pre-Activity of an assignment seems to be a dangerous approach really. Are you not able to just work with a WHEN rule inside the screen flow to just bypass the first assignment when required ?

Hi Marc
If i do such way I'm not getting the back button option to go to 1st assignment

Which version of the product are you working with ?

Hello,
Well I think it depends on which harness you actually working with for your screen flow. The standard "PerformScreenFlow" harness isn't showing the back button you are right. But if you try with "TabbedScreenFlow" or "TreeNavigationScreenFlow", you will have the option to go back on previous step.

I'm alreeady using TabbedScreenFlow harness. But if I skip by using when then Back button is not getting displayed

I'm also facing this same issue. Have you got a resolution for this?
