Can I restrict a portal to a particular node?

I am working on a project in which I like to restrict a portal to a particular node. When a user does have access to the portal and like to login to the portal. He should be able to use only the dedicated nodes associated to the portal. If he tries to use different node/JVM then he should not be able to login. Is there any way we can achieve it?

I think this could be done via load balancer configuration. If portal URL is uniquely identifiable then in load balancer we can code to hit the specific node.
