Split Schema Concept - Info Needed
Dear All,
I have been hearing a lot about Split schema feature in Pega 7. Can any one provide any document url to explain the concept in more details, also is Split schema is by default enabled in Pega 7? If so what is general design guideline to split the schemas, max number of schemas and the practical scenario which will force to use split schema.

Split schema database setup was recommended since Pega 7 so as to achieve High availability & Minimum/No downtime during Pega upgrades or Updates. Split schema mean that the Pega instance need to be connected to at least 2 database schemas, one for storing Rule tables ( Rule schema ) and one for storing Work & data tables ( Data schema ). In old-fashioned approach of Single schema, all Rule/Work/Data tables were stored in Single schema. Technically, split schemas were implemented with versions prior to Pega 7 and Single schemas were implemented even in Single schema. In advanced forms of Split schema, you can have one Rule schema and multiple data schemas as well.
