Migration from 719 split schema to 72
Hi all,
I am having a look at the script that does the migration. Basically it is making a copy of original schema into an upgrade schema in a new DB and run the IUA on top of the upgrade schema.
Q1. Is it possible if DBA does a backup and restore the DB into a separate DB, then run the IUA on top, then point the JNDI to this new DB?
Q2. Can RULES schema and DATA schema be in separate DB for ease of data management by the DBA?

Hello Seri,
Yes, you can take Database dump from the current DB , and restore it in the new DB. This should work fine. For Q2. you can place RULES and DATA schema be in separate schema since setupdatabase.properties file have the option to specify different database details for RULES and DATA schemas. However we have not tested with that option. And we are not recommending that option.
