UI Issues after Bulk re-validate and save
Issue:
We have done the bulk re-validate and save the application(which provided us the report of failure rules) using the ECS tool.
After that, When we login into the application we are facing the icon/css issues in Pega 7 developer portal as well as in User portal application. all images are comming as broken link.
Resolution :
Clearing the server cache and restarting the server helped us in resolving the issue.

Bulk Revalidate and Save will not cause any of the above issues mentioned in like images/tooltips not loading. This seems to be an issue related to server caching
Revalidate and save just resaves the application rules.It skips Pega rulesets so there must not be any modification in any Pega shipped rule like image or icon.
Can you please provide more information on this behavior ? Please do share the logs if available

Could be that it is not releated to Revalidate and Save. but we have noticed this issue just after the revalidate and Save, before the image was comming.
by the way as I mentioned in my intial post, it got resolved after clearing the cache and restarting the server.

Most of these would be Rule-File-Binary instances of file type *.png
They are cached at the directory .../prweb/StaticContent
I believe Bulk revalidate and save on Rule-File-Binary instances could have invalidated the corresponding cache in this directory since the caches would be having older timestamps.
We are about to perform a bulk revalidate and save for one of the upgrades-in-progress; we shall verify this theory by monitoring the contents of the StaticContent directory.
