Re-validate and save failing for all Survey related rules V8.1 from Bulk Actions wizard
Hi,
we are upgrading our 7.1 application to 8.1.
1) Revalidate and save” for any rules instances of below rules are failing
Rule-PegaQ-Question, Rule-PegaQ-QuestionCollection, Rule-PegaQ-QuestionGroup
Rule-PegaQ-Questionnaire
this is happening for new rules also ( personal edition also they are failing ).
2) Not able to validate any rules under survey classes ( Embed-PegaQ-***)
all the rules under these classes are in pega-survey rule et but we are not seeing any survey related rulesets in Revalidation and save ruleset dropdown .

Hi Vishnu,
So far on debugging the issue, found out that BulkValidateSave activity has been changed completely from 7.4 to 8.1, Survey Rules were failing due to null pointer exception since the primary page was "=unnamed=" and this was being sent as a parameter to internal activities, hence the exception due to absence of the parameter which is a page type for holding the question/questionpage rule. Internally tested the fix with a branch and its able to revalidate & save the survey specific rules now.

Are you having PegaSurvey ruleset in your application? Please follow the steps in "For upgrades from Pega 7.2.2 and earlier: Adopting APIs and rules for Pega Survey" section in https://community.pega.com/knowledgebase/documents/pega-73-platform-upgrade-guide for upgrade. Also what is the error that you are seeing when you revalidate and save the rules.

This issue is due to changes in revalidate and save infrastructure. We are working on a fix for it and will be provided as a hotfix to you.
