Problem while running Pega 7.1.8 personal edition
Dear Team,
I have downloaded the pega personal edition 7.1.8. Whenever I am installing it, it is working great for the very first time but while I try to run the same the next time or the day after, it throws a Apache Tomcat Error. I tried logging into the tomcat and have seen that the prweb is not running. I tried to run it but it is not running. Please help
Thanks and Regards,
Subhajit

Could you please check whether the database connection successful or not in Catalina.log? If not check the database services state whether running or not?
Paste the error code in the thread.

Check if any firewall is present. If yes , disable the firewall and try connecting again.
run 'iptables -F" on the database server machine to disable it for a while

Most likely, you are getting this error becuase postgresql is not running. Looks like you are trying to run tomcat directly, without starting postgresql first?
The best way to start Personal Edition is to run via Startup script that comes with Personal Edition. If you installed it on windows, the installer would have created a shortcut on your desktop - "PRPC 71x Startup". If you can't find the shortcut, try to run the script directly from <PRPCPersonalEdition Install Location>\scripts\startup.bat. Do not run this script by just double clicking it; instead go to this path on a command prompt and run startup.bat.
Hope this helps.

Hi Subhajit,
I faced the same issue. My root cause was that my installation folder name had a space in the name. It was Pega 7. There was a space in between Pega and 7.
I reinstalled it with the direcctory name as Pega.
It worked.
