Automation of deployment process where user can able to specify future deployment data time?

Hello Folks,

 

I was wondering has anyone done this before?

 

Requiremet: Business has another toll they were using in which they can specify future date time to deploy the package into higher environment.

 

Question: I was thinking of using a script to deploy the package from "ServiceImport" directory (Directory where the import JAR get loaded before saving to database), is this doable with script. What kind of logical flow we need follow?

 

Based on my undestanding PEG used to have a way to deploy packages via comandline.

Hello Prakash,

Yes, it is possible to script the import and export process of rules, data and cases (work) with PRPC. In Pega 7, there is a prpcUtils script which allows you to automate the process. This tool is part of the software distribution. Which version of PRPC are you using?
