this means your section do not have access to the properties you are referencing.

Typically, your section is in SAE-HRServices-Work-Candidate and the properties are in SAE-HRServices-Data-Candidate.

If you want to use a property of Data-Candidate in Work-Candidate you need to use a page.

Let's demonstrate this in Java:

You have 2 classes like this:

public class Work-Candidate {

  public String aProperty

  public String MySection() {

    return "<div>" ..... "</div>";

  }

}

public class Data-Candidate {

  public String FirstName;

  public String LastName;

  public String MyCandidateDetails() {

How can you use a property or a method (in this case a section) of Data-Candidate in the class Work-Candidate?

You need to create an object of type Data-Candidate in Work-Candidate.

Something like:

public Data-Candidate Candidate;

Now you can use: .Candidate.FirstName or even the section .Candidate.MyCandidateDetails()

This "Candidate" is called a page in Pega.

Make sure your section can reference the properties.

In SAE 1 you are asked to create forms via the case designer. Advantage is if the property or object (Data class) doesn't exist, PRPC will create it. Plus, it will create a property of type Page in your case type.

If you want to create a section applying to Work-Candidate and uses the properties defined in Data-Candidate, you need to use the property of type Page called Candidate which inside your Work-Candidate class (expand the class, data model, property)

Option 1/ In the section in Work-Candidate, you need to say: .Candidate.FirstName

Option 2/ In the section in Data-Candidate, you need to say: .FirstName and in the section in Work-Candidate you need to include the section by changing your context from Work-Candidate to Data-Candidate and you change your context using a clipboard page called Candidate.

I might have a bigger problem than that, because currently I cannot define any new fields on any steps (via configure form). Always getting the error above. I am creating new stages/steps and trying to create new fields on enw forms but getting the same error. Seems hopeless.
