Problem with CSSA 7.1 Exercise download

Hi

I downloaded the exercise package for CSSA 7.1 (Senior System Architect) course. After unzipping the contents of the download into "prpc-pvs" folder, I did not see the application subdirectory created and "VMware-player-5.0.1-894247.exe" required to run the exercise system. Kindly help me with this issue. Do let me know in case more information is required.

I had downloaded PVS for 6.2 before. I uninstalled the VMWare that I got from this download and removed all files from C:\Program Data\VMWare. Now, whichever Pvs I download, it does not contain the application directory on unzipping the download contents.

 

Please let me know if you would need the installation logs.

Hi

most of the images have been updated to include a VirtualBox based VM. Refer to the setup guide, if needed.

Also, VMware changed license, so we can not include the VMplayer anymore in the downladable PVS. You would need to download it separately from VMware directly.

Hi 

I am using a Windows 10 ,64 bit OS .  I have installed the Oracle VM VirtualBox manager and downloaded the exercise system from the tutorial .

The VirtualBox Host-Only Ethernet Adapter is configured in the Network tab  of  Oracle VM VirtualBox manager(version 5.0.24) , as I am using a Windows machine .

When I start the Virtual server from Oracle VM VirtualBox manager it is looking for vboxnet0 Host-only adapter and is unable to run . I have completed the System Architect Tutorial and have the Virtual server working as expected with  VirtualBox Host-Only Ethernet Adapter with the same VirtualBox manager.

 

I have unzipped the Excercise System with 7-zip. Can anyone help here .
