Pega 7.x and assembly cache mode
Per help documentation, Pega 7 can operate in one of three caching modes: VTable, Application Based Assembly (ABA), or Rules Assembly Cache (RA).
Pega recommends to use VTable (with ABA for few rules) caching mode for Pega 7 applications.
Question is does Pega 7 support RA caching mode anymore?
I changed the caching mode to RA (using prconfig/fua/assemblycachemode dynamic system setting) and confirmed the same from SMA. However, still application is using VTable and ABA - when clicked on RA in SMA, it shows that 'system is not configured for this kind of assembly'.
Am I missing something here?

As of the most recent release of the Pega 7 Platform, Virtual rules table (VTable) caching is the default caching setting for all applications. VTable caching is automatically primed during system startup with rules that have been either statically assembled or built dynamically as they were used in the system.
For reference, VTable caching is a higher performance replacement for Application-Based-Assembly (ABA) caching, although ABA caching is still currently used for a handful of rules. RA caching is a legacy caching format and its use should generally be avoided, if possible.
The help documentation will be updated to reflect the above in the next release of the Pega 7 Platform. In the meantime though, hope the above info helps!
