Check out issue in Pega 7
We have deployed a Pega 7 environment where we have migrated our application. As we are trying to check out rules, we are getting below issue.
1. On clicking Checkout first time, we don't see any change in Form but the xml (show xml/view xml is modified to depict personal rule set and version as 01-01-01)
2. On clicking check out again, we are getting error:

Check out is enabled for both ruleset and operator.
I did trace the check out .First time in trace everything goes through fine without any failure. But actual check out is not depicted.
For second time on tracing it fails in Rule-RuleCheckout where it is trying to open the rule(Obj-Open) from Database saying the Rule-Ruleset psvm and version 01-01-01 doesn't exist

1. Instead of step "2. On clicking check out again, we are getting error:" try refreshing the rule form. Is it checked out? It may be that your rule is successfully checked out but is not refreshed after first attempt to check out, this would be a different problem.
2. Try creating new ruleset/ ruleset version and see if you may work with it.
3. Perform a backup and try disabling check out for your rulesets. What happens?
4. When you migrate something you sometimes need to explicitly mention pzinskey of your ruleset rule (psvm) and ruleset version rules in a product. Check the database, can you see the mentioned ruleset and ruleset version records there?
5. If psvm 01-01-01 is a personal ruleset version of your operator id - that is a different thing. Try reviewing what happens when you trace the first attempt to check out.
If non of the above leads you to the solution, provide us the exact PRPC version and a rule name and step (if this is an activity) which first adds error/warning message to the page (or tracer screenshot). We need to review that rule.

Did you follow the guide for migration?
What was the source PRPC version?
What is the rule type you are getting an issue with?
Does it happen with all rules in all migrated rulesets/ does it happen with other rulesets in the system?

I have faced the same problem.
When I click on check out first, it doesn't show "Save and Check In". So if i click on check out again, it shows me the same error, unless and untill when I hit Refresh on the browser before I hit check out the second time. Then I was able to see "Save and Check In" with no error.
I rectified this problem by putting a refresh condition ".pyToolBarSettings.pyCheckOut Changes" on the layout in the section that is calling these buttons.
And, then on it works just fine.

Hi,
We have a the same problem. I try a lot of things but i find a solution. If you delete and recreate the rule, the problem will resolve.
