Cannot add all data fields to Assets data instances
I am trying to complete: Managing Reference Data in Data Tables and am trying to add my asset data instances to the Assets data table. I cannot fill the assets data table so I am stuck on this step (adding courses was fine)
I am seeing the same issue no matter how I try to add an instance ("Edit data instances", "Edit and Search" then "Append" OR "Edit")
When I try to add a data instance, the only field that is editable is pyLabel:
If I type something in this field and try to save, it throws an error because ID is required, then opens up ID field:
If I save a record like this, Selected shows as False (default value I guess), but I did not enter that value:
I try to edit that instance from Search and Edit, only Label is editable:
I try to append a row, and the same thing:
Here are my supporting rules:
I actually had this issue during System Architect Essentials I when adding Positions. But I came in the next day and the issue was gone, so I didn't report it. I did not have this issue with Courses (added at the same time as Assets). I am using the exercise environment and IE9 (it's in protected mode, so I can't use the Excel editing). I tried logging off and back on.
What am I missing? Or is there a workaround? I can't add Assets until I find a way to resolve this. Thanks.

Just like what happened in Sys Arch I, with the Positions data table exercise... I logged in today and this issue is resolved:
I did log out of the exercise environment yesterday and this did not resolve the issue. Is there something else other than "wait overnight" I could have done to get around this?

Did anyone ever get back to you directly about this, after wasting a few hours on the same issue I'm glad to find it's not a problem of my own making but a fairly significant flaw all the same?

I never received a response on this. Both times just "waiting" until the next day seemed to resolve it. So maybe it was resolved as a by-product of completely rebooting my browser? Still not clear exactly what the "fix" was.

Hi Dean,
I noticed that you are using the Online Exercise system in lieu of the PVS. I have only used the PVS when presenting this course and I have yet to encounter the issue you described. It may be a browser cache issue that only manifests itself when completing certain exercises while using the online exercise system. As a work around have you tried logging out of PRPC (Pega 7.1), exiting the online exercise system, clearing your browser cache, closing your browser, restarting (re-launching) the browser and trying again?

I had the EXACT same problem! Course table was fine but Assets only allowed entry of the Label field. I'm also using the Online Exercise system and was in IE-11. I don't have the luxury of waiting a day to see if it will work tomorrow. I tried logging out of everything, deleting the full browser cache, shut down the PC completely, rebooted, relogged in... problem still happening :(
But for the benefit of anyone else encountering this issue... I logged out and logged back in using Firefox instead, and ta-daa! It worked! I can now edit all the fields.
Pega people, please report this to your developers, so they're aware this issue occurs in IE.

I don't think using Fire Fox is actually the solution to this as it was the browser I first had a problem with, for me an out of date version of chrome was the the only thing to work and then only after quite some time trying 3 different computers and as many browsers.

I got the same issue with PEGA 7.1.6 when I practiced the session:

I could just input 2 values for the table id and lable.
