Does Pega 7 support BPMN standards?
Pega provides limited support for integration with BPMN standards (BPEL, etc.) There are BPMN counterparts to most shapes used when modeling processes in Pega, including assignment, decisions, swim lanes, utility, split-join, etc. However, with Pega, the primary benefit is in process execution. Pega provides a range of custom and Smart Shapes to enhance the industry standards with an eye toward execution and reuse.
Ideally focus should not be strictly on industry-standard models, rather on - process execution. Anything that helps facilitate process execution, efficiency, and reuse (like the custom shapes for PDF, email, case management, etc.) will trump adherence to industry-standards every time, thus driving real value for our customers quickly.
Big financial firms use modeling tools and have 100s or 1000s of repositories .
If pega can make them easy to import to high level models ,it will be great benefit of more pega adoption
PEGA and companies of modeling tools should work or partner together to make pega adoption easier and quicker
