Hi Yesovardhan
Can we configure BIX to remove the " from the records? For example rather than having the record come as
AA-COMPL-WORK EVALINDICIA-1|"RULE-ADMIN-EXTRACT AA-COMPL-WORK-EVALUATEINDICIA EXTRACTCASEDATAFORGDW #20170525T024919.540 GMT1"|
Can i configure them to use 'as shown below
AA-COMPL-WORK EVALINDICIA-1|'RULE-ADMIN-EXTRACT AA-COMPL-WORK-EVALUATEINDICIA EXTRACTCASEDATAFORGDW #20170525T024919.540 GMT1'|

Hi HALLM2,
No. You cannot configure BIX to use any other character in place of the double-quotes.
On the other hand, the delimiter can be customized (as you have done in your little sample).

Hi Yesovardhan,
While naming the extract files, we can use %d or %t to include extract date/date time in the file name. These regular expressions format date in "YYMMDD" and "YYMMDDHHmmssSSS" respectively. Is there a way we can format it in a customized way like "YY-MM-DD"

Hi Ramesh,
No, there is no way to customize these date-related formats for the file name.

Hi Yesovardhan,
Any plan in the product pipeline to provide the same? If yes, when it would be available?

Ramesh,
What would be a compelling use case for this idea? After all, one can rename the output file using a simple shell script. To consider something like this, I really need to make a persuasive case.

Hi Yesovardhan,
Is it now possible to format date time fields in the BIX extracted files? Earlier in version 6.3, the date time field extraction was in raw format like PegaRules date format.

Hi Yesovardhan,
We use RichTextEditor in our application hence the data in this property contains html code like <p> etc. When we see the bix extract, this property has some junk values in place of that html code. How can we get rid of this junk values in the bix extract?

Hi Yesovardhan,
My question is towards the restrictions in the Cloud environment. In Cloud 1.1 architecture with PRPC V7.2.1/BIX 7.1, we are able to do database-to-database extraction, but this isn't supported in the Cloud 2.1 architecture. Please could you explain the reason behind this limitation, and will it be supported in the future BIX upgrade?

Hi Feroz,
None of the reasons behind this limitation is a show-stopper; we may eventually support it at some point.
As for when it will be supported, I cannot say. It is a matter of priorities.

Hi,
My Question is regarding the enhancements to BIX product.
I have worked on multiple large scale projects in BIX with DB and XML as output formats. Somehow I feel that there is a scope of improvement to the product. Lets say for database, adding a primary key while generating the schema DDL which makes it easy for the downstream systems to consume the data.
I also want to know what kind of enhancements can we expect from pega to BIX product? Are you planning to roll off any new features/improve the product?
Appreciate your time!
Thanks

Susheel,
Thank you for the suggestion about adding primary keys. We will give it serious consideration.
We are always planning some enhancement or the other; but, I am not at liberty to disclose this stuff on a forum such as this. Stay tuned!
Thanks,
Yesho.
