The adapter has an isRunning property. You can check that. If you are using automatic login with ASO, login will only be attempted when you are on the screens you have identified as log in screens.
Normally, you would check to see which screen you are on when the sign on process is complete using a WaitAny. This will allow you to handle one of the many possible outcomes.
Thanks Jeff, for quick help. is their any other way so that i check whether the base application is running or other conditions before automation tries to login into the system.

What will be the parameter ApplicationKey expecting in ASO here?

ApplicationKey is a unique identifier of credentials set. In typical case it is simply application name. This value is set initially in adapter properties or using AddApplication method and then later used to retrieve required credentials in automations.
