Upgrade to 7.4 - Legacy Rules
Hello, apologies if this answer is elsewhere.
We are going to be upgrading from Pega v7.2.0 to 7.4. Release notes state that legacy rule types are moved to PegaLegacyRules:01-01-01. I also read the "Finding legacy rules in sections" help page.
My concern is that once we upgrade to 7.4 our deprecated rules will be moved to the ruleset above and then our applications will be unable to run these rules. Has anyone had experience with this to know if they had to convert all of their deprecated rules upon upgrade to get their applications to continue working as before the upgrade?
Thanks for any guidance!
HI,
Some legacy rule types (eg. old images and OCX controls shipped in PRPC 4.x, 5.x or 6.x) are no longer included in Pega 7.4.
If these old rules are used in your application, they will be removed on upgrade. It is recommended to replace these images by more recent images.
You can also re-install these rules by importing the ‘PegaLegacyRules’ RAP from the resource kit folder on the distribution media. “PegaLegacyRulesRAP” is under ResourceKit -> Utilities -> PegaLegacyRules.
Thanks,
