Unable to change the display order of conditional operators available in the Conditional Builder while configuring custom Promoted Filters on Landing Pages.

A Landing page is configured with Promoted Filters enabled. While configuring a promoted filter, the field is set to Display as = Custom, which exposes the Add option functionality. When a filter option is added, the Conditional Builder displays a list of available conditional operators. The user wants to modify the order in which these operators display. Investigation confirmed that the operators and their display order are controlled by the platform and are presented in a predefined sequence.

Symptoms and Impact

While configuring a custom promoted filter, the Conditional Builder displays a predefined list of operators such as is equal to, is not equal to, is in list, contains, starts with, is null, and so on. Users want these operators to display in a different order to align with the business requirements. However, no option is available to modify the sequence.

Steps to reproduce

1. Open a Landing Page table in App Studio.
2. Enable Promoted Filters under End User Filtering.
3. Add a field as a promoted filter.
4. Open the configuration for the promoted filter.
5. Set Display as to Custom.
6. Click Add option under the Options section.
7. In the Add filter option dialog, provide a filter option label.
8. Open the Conditional operator dropdown.
9. Observe the list of available operators.
10. Attempt to change the display order of the operators that display in the dropdown.
11. Observe that no configuration is available to alter, customize, or reorder the operator sequence.

Root Cause

The reported behavior is as per the Pega product design. The Conditional Builder used by Landing Page Promoted Filters utilizes a platform-defined set of operators that display in a predefined order. The operator sequence is controlled internally by the product and is not exposed as a configurable setting. Therefore, the order of the operators cannot be changed or customized.

Solution

Currently, there is no supported configuration to alter, customize, or reorder the list of operators that display while configuring or using Promoted Filters. The reported behavior is working as designed and is consistent with the current product implementation.
