Be aware that the process for requesting a docker image has changed.

In the past, users were issued docker keys.

Moving forward it users will be issued docker tokens.

This is a more secure way of giving access to docker images and necessitated based on upcoming changes to Artifactory.

In conjunction with this change, the user experience on my Pega is changing too.

It will be updated to allow for end users to better manage their Docker tokens.

This includes the ability to to request older versions of Docker tokens with a proper approvals from Pega.

If you need a quick refresher on Docker images, users can request access to Pega provided image repositories to download Docker images, which are required for Pega platform deployments.

Pega provides access credentials only to clients that have the appropriate support role within their organization.

Pega partners are not allowed to request an access token on behalf of their customer to obtain the Pega provided Docker tokens.

With that said, let's walk through the steps for requesting a Docker token on My PEGA.

This can be done by logging into my.pega.com.

From the main navigation, you can click Software and then My Software.

The page you land on will contain 2 tabs.

The first tab is intended for downloading entitled Software Product Images, while the second tab, Docker Tokens, will allow you to request and manage your Docker tokens.

Click the Docker Token tab.

If this is the first time visiting the page, you'll see a button labeled Generate Docker Token.

Click that to initiate your request.

Review the confirmation message and click Submit to proceed.

You'll then see a message that the Docker token was successfully generated.

You will need to access your e-mail in order to obtain the necessary credentials.

Within the body of the e-mail you just received, you can access the Docker token, which can be used to login to Pega Docker image repository to download the image.

Now let's take a look at how to request a Docker token for an older version of PEGA software.

Navigate back to my PEGA.

Once you refresh the screen, you will now see you you will have an option to regenerate a docker token or to generate a token for an older version of PEGA.

Click Generate a token for an older version of PEGA software.

This will open a modal where you have the ability to select from prior versions of PEGA software, for example 85 or 84.

Once you make your selection you can then select from Patch releases 8.4.58.4.4.

Once you make your selection, you then provide a description for why you need this version of software and click Submit request to proceed.

Your request will then be routed for approval.

If your request is approved, you will be notified by e-mail.

Refreshing the screen, you'll see the status of the request updated from pending approval to active.

You can now follow the same steps from the e-mail to retrieve the docker token, which you can then use to log into Pegas Docker image repository and download the image.
