Would it be possible to have a listing of available hotfixes in Pega 7.3
Is there a way for us to get a listing of all hotfixes applied to 7.3 to date. We understand that it would not be an “official” list. We are not interested in “official” lists, we are interested in a smooth timely transition from 7.1.8 to 7.3 .
To that end, as we migrate our applications over, we really want to avoid opening very many SR’s , or worse yet not noticing something until it gets to production.
For Example: Yesterday, We noticed that when opening the properties on a Button control, quite often the Button text will revert to the default “Button” . We didn’t notice until we had opened a few buttons, on different sections. We then had to go back and review every section that had been touched in 7.3 to see if any other buttons had been affected.
It wouldn’t be surprising if there is already a hotfix for this item. Wouldn’t it be great if we could just look at what has already been applied?
We realize that there is no official list, however we also know that there is a Catalog.zip file, allowing the update manager to figure out what’s going on in the system. Therefore, we can safely deduce that the information is available somewhere. It must be, otherwise the creation of the catalog file would not be possible.
In any case, it would really help us out in getting things done quickly. No one enjoys the upgrade process, myself less than most people. I really prefer to build useful , new things.
