Troubleshooting steps:

1. Check Work Queue logs:    - Review the Work Queue logs (PegaRULES > System > Utilities > Work Queue Logs) to identify any errors or warnings.    - Search for specific messages related to the remote application or the sync process.

2. Confirm remote application configuration:    - Verify that the remote application is properly configured and registered with Pega Process Fabric.    - Ensure that the correct credentials and permissions are set up for the application to access work items.

3. Check the workqueue Sync states:    - Navigate to Pega7 > Integration > Integration Interfaces > Work Queues > Work Queue Sync States.    - Verify that the sync status for the remote application is "Synchronized". If it's still "In Progress", there may be an underlying issue.

4. Check for network issues:    - Ensure that there are no network connectivity issues between the Pega Process Fabric environment and the remote application.    - Check for any firewalls or security settings that may be blocking communication.

5. Review other logs:    - Check the PegaRULES logs (PegaRULES > Help > View Logs) for any related errors or warnings.    - Review the application server logs for the remote application to identify any issues during the sync process.

6. Contact Pegasystems Support:    - If the issue persists after following the above steps, contact Pegasystems Support for assistance. They have access to more detailed logs and can provide additional troubleshooting guidance.

Additional tips:

 Restart the Work Queue service to try and resolve any temporary issues.  Try disabling and re-enabling the sync process for the remote application.  Ensure that the remote application has sufficient capacity to handle the volume of work items being synchronized.  Check if there are any pending changes in the Pega Process Fabric environment that may be affecting the sync process.
