Why Pega unit testing is not part of Public API
Hi,
Realizing the fact that we have public APIs for Branch Merging, Conflicts Management, Creating a Review what could be the possible reason for not having Pega Unit Test Execution as part of public API?
I'm aware that there is a rest service (pzExecuteTests), however this is not part of public API.

Hi,
Unit Tests execution plays a important role in determining that there are no regressions introduced. Before we create the package file, its ideal to execute the unit tests, analyse the results and take a call on proceeding with CI/CD pipeline or not. The other potential activities that can be included in the CI/CD pipeline are branch merge and checking the conflicts. We have Public APIs for branch merger & conflict management and wanted to understand why there is No Public API for executing the pega unit tests.
Please note, a REST service for pega unit testing was introduced in 7.2.1.
