Why do we have to restart the application server whenever we have a DB server changes.
Hi Team,
Why do we have to restart the application server whenever we have a DB server changes.
DB server changes like DB Server failover/Switch and DB server restart.
Please let us know the practices to implement so as to avoid the application server restart whenever we have DB server changes.

I have reviewed the above mentioned article already and it speaks about the scenario with DB server restart.I am curious to know about the DB server failover/switch.

Hi Pradeep,
You could take the enhancement request ID stated in that post (FDBK-16215) back to your Pega Account Executive. They will be able to help you with finding out the status and will also be able to drive this further for you.

I am just curious,whats so special about this post.
Why dont you directly update the details/current status in here instead of taking us to a longer route.
We dont wish to drive this issue further.Just wanted to understand why do we need a Appserver restart everytime during the DB failover/switch/restart.
