which Apache HTTP server versions does Pega recommend for 6.3 to serve static content?
What versions of Apache HTTP servers does 6.3 SP1 support?
Does PRPC 6.3 SP1 support Apache HTTP server version 2.2.12? We sporadically get 502-Bad Gateway errors

If you only want Apache serves static contents, there will be no specific version recommendation from PRPC perspective.

Question: Are you referring to using Apache HTTP Server as a proxy or to serve up some static content from a directory on your file system? Then sure.
However, Pega is a Java product and runs on application servers such as Tomcat. Tomcat's web server component is Coyote (java) but it "can" be swapped out. People do configure Tomcat to use Apache HTTP Server instead of Coyote when they want extra speed (although, this may be a myth) or if they want to access non-Java components (Apache HTTP Server is written in C). If any of this applies, then the discussion should continue with your reasons.

Tomcat is being used as an Application sever and Apache HTTP server is used as a webserver to serve up static pages. What versions of Apache HTTP servers does PRPC 6.3 SP1 support?
