It is pretty clear the when conditions in actions work only if the When rule is evaluated on the DOM. But here is my case, i have a navigation rule referenced from a button in a section and i'm launching a local action from the navigation on click followed by another action(say run an activity) based on the outcome of the local action.

I tried by creating a hidden property in the same section as the button and setting it and using it in the when condition of the navigation rule's on click. Still pega didn't execute the when. Is there any other option that can be tried?
