What is Appropriate data types?
I am considering what data types suit for these properties;
1) when I manage how long I have worked for last month
for example, I have worked for 8 hours today and I have worked for 6 hours yesterday.
So I have worked 14hours in total.
I want to calculate like this.
2) when I want to indicate only month;
If I use "date" data type, it indicates month and day .. for example, 6/26.
How I get only month?

Hi,
If your looking for function to get only Month from Date, there is OOTB function which fetches Month from current Date Time. so write similar function which accepts Date value as parameter and extracts Month from parameter value and return month(Please check available function before create any new function from your application).

For Question 1, you can go with Decimal property type as you are performing precise calculation with the values.
Please explain a bit about how you are getting the worked hours value per day and process so that we can suggest you more.

Hi,
For #1 you can use Decimal as you might get total hours as 14.5 also.
For #2 I think you can use Integer if you want to have month number (1-12) to be stored in that property. For getting the month number you can use below expression.
@(Pega-RULES:DateTime).month(@(Pega-RULES:DateTime).dateStringToBigDecimal(Param.DateTime, "DateTime", tools) ) + 1
If the input is only Date you can do as below
@(Pega-RULES:DateTime).month(@(Pega-RULES:DateTime).dateStringToBigDecimal(Param.DateTime, "Date", tools) ) + 1
If you want month name you can use Text property and use below expression to get month name.
@(Pega-RULES:DateTime).FormatDateTime(Param.DateTime, "MMMMM", "", "")
