Webpage format while saving generated excel from Pega

we are preparing excel using html rule followed by sendData() method, but the problem is while saving the generating file it's showing format as webpage in filetype dropdown. Can you please suggest how to make excel 97-2003 as default format in filetype dropdown.

could you please try setting the below properties before saving the file...

  1. pxRequestor.pyHTTPResponseHeaders.contentType = "application/vnd.ms-excel"
  2. pxRequestor.pyHTTPResponseHeaders.ContentDisposition = "attachment;filename="+"fileName.xls"
