how generate xls format excel file
we have a requirement to generate excel file in both xls and xlsx formats (xls to support MSoffice 2003 users) but we are able to create only xlsx by using MSOGenerateExcel activity.
ExportToExcel activity also dosn't support our requirement
dose pega 7.2 support converting xlsx file to xls or actually generating xls format Excel file

If memory serves me correctly : there is no facility built-in to PRPC that will export to the older 'XLS' format*; but PRPC does ship with Apache POI - which you could utilise to convert to that format (or indeed generate in that format).
(*"Export To Excel" does produce an 'XLS' file - but this in fact is a different format again - it is a essentially a HTML table with some additional Excel-Specific CSS styling instructions for formatting dates etc).

thanks for suggestions in MapValue rule we have Edit in Excel option which generates xls file whit the current values in MapValue rule can u please see this and tell we can use this or not
