Web Meshup PRServlet deployment on Cloud based system
Hi, Our company based portal will be design to use the current Pega Application as gadget. Please let us know if the application hosting the pega gadeget is on cloud and not use any web application. Is there any alternative way of deploying the gateway or implement gatweway work without deploying the actual gateway. Not sure if we can skip the gateway to connect to the pega application.

In general, gateway is needed to support the restrictions of "Same-Origin-Policy" (refer: Same-origin policy - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia) imposed by modern browsers for cross-domain communications. Pega is planning full support of (CORS: refer Cross-origin resource sharing - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia) in the future (no time table commitment at the moment). Once that is done, gateway should not be needed.
Thanks Kevin for reply. Just one concern. Our host application is on cloud so keep the same origin policy, we are planning to create one Pega application instance on Cloud and than deploy the gateway on that web server. So is there any help we can get to deploy the gateway on Cloud system. Please suggest if there are any other approach or help we can get on this issue.

Hi Keven, thanks for referring to PDN notes. One concern we have with the statement with "The Gateway servlet and the web application hosting the Pega gadget must be located in the same domain and sometimes runs on the same web server". Issue is as we detailed above, our host application is on Cloud server. Do i need to have PRGATEWAT deployed in the same server or i can deploy any other server ( probably can open nodes to access that server for this host server)? Please provide some focus on what are the possible places we can deploy the GATEWAY as our host application don't have web server or any container to deploy the GATEWAY.
