We are looking to integrate agent and listener status monitoring into AppDynamics.
Currently we are monitoring agents and listeners manually by checking the status of each agent on each node in SMA and also using the email notification for agent failure in Pega 7.3 application.
We want to explore the possibility to monitor the status of the agents and listeners of our application via AppDynamics.
Could you please guide if it is feasible approach and suggest how we can implement it?
@GauravG1070 Have you explored PDC as a potential monitoring solution instead of App Dynamics. This is a free cloud offering and strategic monitoring from Pega. In case your organization doesn't allow your company data [no PII data, with the exception of Operator ID] in external cloud, you can very well use latest versions of AES. However, PDC would be the ideal monitoring solution when compared to all the monitoring available.
PDC can be accessed through Public internet once it is enabled.
In my view, all Pega related monitoring is well handled with in the tools provided by Pega [PDC,AES,PAL,PLA, DB Trace, Alert Analyzer etc.,], for this outside of Pega boundaries aka items Pega will not have visibility [eg., OS level or Host level], those should be monitored by non Pega Monitoring solutions like App Dynamics, Dynatrace, Splunk etc.,
