Warning in Reports when trying to use Elastic Search ."Multi tenant detected. ES resolution falls back"

Getting the below warning on opting for Elastic search in data retrieval for Report definition .

Report will not be executed on Elasticsearch. Reason: "Multi tenant detected. ES resolution falls back".

So  we cannot use elastic search feature at all for reports in multi tenant environment  or is there a work around .

I am assuming you are referring to the wiki page included in the last comment . I did go through it  but my question remains what does  this warning indicate then.
