Wait in Activity and lock case
Hi!
I met the following problem:
I have an activity A (it runs in pyWorkPage context of my case)
In first step I add Wait process for 30 sec
In second step I add Obj-Refresh-and-Lock method
In third step I again add Wait process for 30 sec
So the problem is:
When I check pr_sys_locks table, I see no lock cases, but second step failed with error "case has been locked by requestor..." and here was my requestor and in third wait in table I saw lock instance on my case
So the question is, does wait process in activity lock case? Or why this situation happened? Can you help me to understand thats pega behavior?

The Wait method in an activity does not lock the work object. You would need to lock it before if needed. You can trace your activity with the Locking event type to see when a lock is being obtained.

You can use "LockInfoPage" as a debugging aid to identify the name of a page to be created by this method to hold the results of the locking attempt when it fails. Please check below "Obj-Refresh-and-Lock" method pnd help link for the details.
As Carissa mentioned that Wait method will not lock the WO. It pauses a thread for a specified time internal.
