VM Memory usage for LSA course 7.3

Hi,

VM which was provided for LSA course 7.3 is consuming lot of memory. I am using MacOS and I have 8 GB of memory, however when I run VM, it consumes all the memory I have (more than 6.2 GB) and then server states it's out of memory. This was working fine for other courses like CPDC & CSSA advance course. Could we fix this?

Hi,

I am not sure on the Mac OS, however we can restrict the usage of the VM while at the time of power on. Please check those settings and give the optimum memory for the VMS.

Hi,

I have already tried that before and when I try to limit the memory to 4 GB, I can't even login. As I said other VMs I have downloaded are perfectly working fine and they don't occupy memory more than 3 GB. However the one given for CLSA Architecture course is sometimes going beyond 7 GB and making my system in hanged state.

I have checked on my windows laptop which is running on 8 GB RAM and I see the same issue there. restricting the memory sized doesn't help as server can't even start the application. 

As I mentioned earlier, I have not seen this problem with other VMs which are used for courses like CPDC, CSSA etc

I'm seeing the same issue.  Please help! I'm running macOS 10.14. 8GB of RAM.  I've played with the setting until I'm blue in the face.  Eventually the VM always freezes up.  I too have downloaded many other Pega VM's and had them working fine.

We are aware of this issue. The solutions are:

1) Increase the memory on the vm to 10 gb if you hardware supports this

2) Use one of the alternate images below:

  • The 7.3 Personal Edition can be downloaded here
  • The 7.3 Linux Lite can be downloaded here

7.3 Linux Lite is recommended. Personal Edition can only run on Windows. FYI - There are no applications on the images.
