Using Pega Pulse is it possible to communicate between workbaskets???

In our application each workbasket is mapped to a work group.Say I have two workbaskets A,B .These workbaskets have there own workgroup with the same name as that of workbasket.

Ex., A workbasket is mapped to A workgroup, B workbasket is mapped to B workgroup. One workbasket will be mapped to only one workgroup.


Each user will be defaulted to one workgroup with one default workbasket and some additional workbaskets will be added

We want communication between workbaskets.Since one workbasket is mapped to only one workgroup in my scenario ,Using Pega Pulse can  a user who is in A workgroup posts a message to B workgroup, and can a user who belongs to B workgroup see that message posted by A workgroup, as in pega pulse in portal we can see the messages posted by our workgroup only.

Please help.

Hi

Pega Pulse is a gadget that adds social activity streams to your application. When embedded in an application, it allows users in the same work group to create posts that share instant messages, files, and URLs.

The possible option is to customizing the functionality and making private post as public etc.

Check this help article : https://community.pega.com/sites/default/files/help_v72/procomhelpmain.htm  where few API is shared for this kind of customization.

Hi Santanu ,

Thanks for your click reply. I referrred the link which you provided on PegaPulse customization.It was stating the alternatives on Pega7 platform but we are using Pega 6.3 SP1.

We have included the pega pulse section by using the OOTB section pxActivityStream.


So is the above mentioned requirement is possible in Pega 6.3??

For 6.3 I need to check that in house.

Hi Saba,

Posts/Messages are filtered based on WorkGroup. Messages shared by one user are not visible to other user if they are not in same work group. The same applies in your usecase with regards to workbaskets.

This is an OOTB behaviour.
