Using deployment manager in Agile mode

Is there any way to use Pega deployment manager (4.8 or onwards) to deploy data instances as well?

For ex- Developer 1 merged code to invoke pipeline, and there is one data instance required for his story.

Developer 2 merged code to invoke pipeline, and there are two data instances required for his story.

Q1. How to automate the whole process using deployment manager?

Hi,  

Can anybody comment on this? It seems deployment manager is all about moving RAP from one environment to another and executing test cases. The support agile methodology requires is fully automated CI/CD with quality control and no manual intervention. Please update if deployment manager supports it.

@picada Can you help me out here please?

Hi @SouravD9762,

Apologize for the delay in response. Deployment Manager does not automatically support handling of data instances as part of branch merge. You need to override OOTB rule to include your desired data instances. Here is right doc : https://collaborate.pega.com/discussion/what-correct-way-make-changes-non-rule-resolved-rules-and-data expalining you how can it be achieved.
