Using Decisions to choose the flow
I am pretty new to Pega developement. I used to be a pega administrator.
I am creating a sample work part of my learning. It basically goes like an operator will choose "Yes" or "No" from a dropdown list.
If yes it should go to the next step. If no it should go to the next stage.
I am trying to use that value and proceed. However I try to reference it am getting errors.
Even I tried the run only when option if the next step so that I can skip the next step when the operator chooses "No". But am getting the below error.
I know its basic but I am figgetting around this for a while. I am trying a lot of combinations and gone through a lot of tutorials but am not getting a clear picture as how to configure and what to configure.

Hi,
Can you please share the screenshots showing what exactly you have attempted? I have attached a sample scenario which I tested at my end and this is working fine. Based on a when rule, the case is either moving to the next step or to the next stage.
Please let me know if my understanding is right.

.. Thanks ppl.. @ Madhuri: It’s the same scenario that I was trying to implement.
I started using the fork decision type and use the @(Pega-RULES:String).equals(.userinput,Yes) as a Boolean expression, that I modified from the inbuilt approval flow and it worked.
But assuming there are multiple possibilities. I am not sure how to handle that.

Since you have only two possibilities out of this, you can use Boolean type decision shape which better suits your requirements. Also could you explain what exactly do you mean when you say "But assuming there are multiple possibilities. I am not sure how to handle that."
