User not able to select the dropdown value for first time.

We have a dropdown loading from a data page in a modal window, when the user tries to select a value from the dropdown, the value doesnt get selected and the dropdown closes immediately. But when user tries to select for the second time, it is working good.

We are using Pega 8.1.3

Please help.

Check in the developer's tools and a clipboard if the dropdown values have trailing spaces. If there are any trailing spaces, remove them and check the use case again. 

If not, please let us know what events-actions are configured on the dropdown.
