Upgrading Deployment Manager

Hi Team,

 

Currently we are using deployment manager which of version 4.6 and Pega platform 8.3.1. We are planning for upgrading deployment manager to 4.8.2 or 4.8.3 version.

Before we upgrade deployment manager, we are planning Pega upgrade to 8.5 version on orchestration server.

Before we upgrade orchestration server to Pega 8.5 version, do need to have all the candidate systems need to be upgraded to 8.5?

 

Could you please share us the details if there are dependencies for deployment manager upgrade.

Hi Deepa,

Latest version of deployment manager(4.8x) is backwards compatible with older versions of candidate environments. You can upgrade Pega to 85 and the orchestrator to 4.8x. The candidate environments can stay on the current versions of pega.

If you are planning to get all the environments to latest version of pega and deployment manager and you are looking for the order then, it will be first orchestrator and then the candidate environments.
