Upgrade instructions from PEGA 718 to PEGA 731, Instructions below.Please advise.
Hi Team,
We are planning to upgrade from PEGA 718 to PEGA 731.
Please find below for the instructions.
1)Update the Rules Schema by modifying the setupDatabase.properties file followed by running the update script.
2) Generating rules Schema objects by modifying the migrateSystem.properties file followed by running the migrate script.
3) Update the Data Schema by modifying the setupDatabase.properties file followed by running the update script.
Please correct for any missing details.

Hi Team,
How to determine whether to go with UPGRADE or UPDATE ?We are planning to move from PEGA 718 to 731.
Please also comment about the attachment (Inplace upgrade or update Instructions).
I do have the update/upgrade guides handy but none of them contains clear instructions about the In-place upgrade/Update.

@Pradeep, generally you need to perform upgrade if you are moving from one major version to another like 7.1 to 7.2 or 7.3. If you want to move from one ML to another ML version like 7.1.2 to 7.1.8 then you can perform update. So in your case you need to choose Upgrade from 7.1.8 to 7.3.1. I can suggest you to refer the document which i had shared you above to follow the process, as it is recommended by Pega.
