Update cases without assignment and not in modal dialog
Hi All,
I have a requirement which lets a third party open cases in review harness and "update" cases. However, they do not always perform "update" actions, that is why they can not have a pending assignment. Also, they can perform "update" actions as many time as they want. Also, it should not run in modal dialog mode (flow action in modal dialog).
I appreciate any help you can provide.

Can you give me more details about the solution? Based on my understanding, case wise local action also requires pending assignments to launch. My requirement is when someone are in the review harness, they can not open other people's assignment but they can perform "update" actions.
Without case wise local actions, I can just add a button to run a flow action. But when it replaces the current screen (not modal dialog), it show me errors "Local actions are available only when you are performing the assignment."

Hi, Yes its correct that case should have open assignments to launch in normal window(Not modal window).
But if you have open assignments and when you are in review harness your case wide local actions will work, i have this in my application.
if you dont have assignments and if you want to launch in normal window then you have create an assignment when ever an update action is performed similar to Reopen action which pega give OOTB.
