Uninstall Pega Platform 8.5.5

Hi. We are currently having issues with on-prem Pega 8.5.5, and our project team plans to do a re-installation as resolution. Please send link to Pega Support site for this.

Reason for request is due to Development Environment Issue after cloning from a server with a clean PEGA installed. Multiple issues encountered due to mixed up node details/configurations. Thus, the suggestion to do a clean re-installation of PEGA by uninstalling first and then re-install back on the same server. Note this plan is part of testing in Development Environment prior to upgrade to latest version 8.8.x

Hi @ReneC16877259: When you say uninstall, can help to understand whether you are looking for the Database part alone (or) the configuration in app server too?

Also noticed that you mentioned you cloned the environment from a different server. Is it app server (or) DB which got cloned?

In general you can clear the database and can start the installation again (or) you can create new database and schema where you can install PEGA from scratch. Post the installation, you need to update the app server configurations accordingly.

Hi @ReneC16877259:

Hope the application services are already stopped.

Basically, the rules for PEGA will be loaded into the database when you install PEGA. So the first step should be clearing the database schemas used for installation. Please backup if required. Alternatively you can do the installation again in new schemas.

For your VM's, What is your App servers used? You need to stop the respective application servers and either reuse them or decommission them following the steps of respective app servers. PEGA don't provide steps for this as this is specific to respective app servers.
