Unable to view the source of dynamic select in 7.2.2

Hi All,

Our aplication is upgraded form the lower verdion to 7.2.2. Still some of the UI are using the old controls like dynamic select.

In 7.2.2, we are not able to view the sourcee of the dynamic slect control.

Could someone guide how can we find the source of the dynamic select.

Hi, 

You can open DynamicSelect control. Its HTML Source is under 'HTML' tab. 

See attached screenshot.

Thanks for the update. Im concerned about the the parameters passed for the dynamic select control.

In existing version we can see the parameter passed for the control. (the source for the dropdown)

Now we are not able to see it.

Could you please update on this.

I think when you open the control properties from the section, you will be able to see parameter tab. There you might be able to provide the details.

Hi Arul,

If you open the section where you are using this DynamicSelect control, you can see the Update Controls button through which you can update the deprecated controls to the latest used controls as shown in the attachment.

In Pega7 we have DropDown control which replaced DynamicSelect control functionality.

Hi Arul,

Hope you are using Chrome. I believe only way view/update the parameters of deprecated control is to use IE. Since the old scripts are not supported in Chrome.

The Pega 7 Upgrade Accelerator Pack, formerly the ECS Upgrade Utilities, is a set of tools that help you to migrate your PRPC instance to the Pega 7 Platform. The tools automate the task of identifying and upgrading deprecated features so that you can use the latest features.

Reference

This helps in "Upgrade Deprecated UI Components and old FlowActions" task for your application in Bulk. FYI, i had tried this utility at my local as shown in the attachment and it also has many other features as explained in the above link.
