Unable to set node type on 7.3
Hi,
I am trying to set node type as BackgroundProcessing on my personal edition platform. I have changed the setenv.bat file located in \tomcat\bin directory as mentioned in Pega help for node classification. I have added following string to this file-
set -DNodeType=BackgroundProcessing
As mentioned in the help I was expecting the node type will be changed to BackgroundProcessing but it is not changed and it is still Untyped. Kindly see attached screenshots for reference. Can someone please help me with this?

Hi,
I believe DNodeType must be set in JAVA_OPTS, try the below snippet in SetEnv
set JRE_HOME="Location of jre"
set JAVA_OPTS=<-Xmx, -Xms> -DNodeType=BackgroundProcessing
Change the code to reflect the above and restart the JVM.

Thanks a lot Ravi. It works :) But I have another problem. Now that the node type is set as BackgroundProcessing so I created an advanced agent and associated it with node type BackgroundProcessing. I expected the agent to run only on one node but the agent schedule instances are created for both the nodes that we have and as a result the agent is running on both nodes. Any reason for this to happen?
