Unable to read window's control properties
Hello,
When interrogating a windows application, it's recognized as a "control". The control's native name is "00090766 "" Afx:00400000:8:00010005:00000000:00000000". We are trying to read text value of this control via "GetText" or any such available properties / methods but unable to get the value of it.
Can you help letting us know if there is a way to read the actual text that's populated within this control?

it's a multi-line with text length that could vary upto 200 lines. Hence, we could not use control region.

Unless that is a .Net control, then you will need to work with support to get a custom translator built for that specific control. If it is a .Net control, then you should be able to use a recent version of Studio 8.0 to create a translator for this control on your own (using C#) as this capability was added in 8.0 late third quarter (I believe but don't quote me).

Sure. They are called UI Connectors and are currently available for .Net controls only. Soon though, you'll be able to create them for Java controls.
If all you need is the text, then you should be able to use a control region.
