Unable to Login using LDAP

Hi,

I created an operator on my server. I am using LDAP URL to login to the server. Unfortunately, I am not able to login even after enabling the "Use External Authentication" checkbox. I have attached the details steps followed for creating the operator.

I am looking for a second opinion on this issue.

Hi Sudhakar, 

Yes, I have the attached document with me, We did follow all those the steps. Here the issue is for one test operator created while configuring the LDAP is working fine. Whereas for the operators created later by cloning the same test operator are not working and unable to login with the credentials.

Operator profile is enabled and I am able to log in without LDAP (i.e. uncheck the Use External authentication checkbox)., But when I enable the external authentication, it is not working.

Also, Organization, Division and Unit values are same as the test operator. 

Pega version used is 7.3.1

When you hit, "http://localhost:8080/prweb/PRWebLDAP2" which means you are calling the built in component of PEGA LDAP module.

If you are using LDAP activity "AuthenticationLDAPWebVerifyCredentials",  then it reads initial context factory , Bind URL, Bind Username , Bind password etc to establish a connection to your LDAP first.

I am using Binding URL as "ldap://localhost:389/CN=Users,DC=example,DC=com", so by default it reads my "CN=Users"(refer attached word document for more information), your id arun.kothappali must be present under "CN=Users", because we are using LDAP authentication.

Also your Organisation, Division and Unit must be mapped correctly between your LDAP and PEGA to login successfully.

HI All,

I am experiencing another behaviour with LDAP user. I am trying to explain with an example. 

I have 2 users one test.user and another testuser ( without "."). LDAP login is successful for testuser user and failed to log in using test.user user. 

So, My question is, LDAP only allows/successful login for Operator without "."?  Is this any limitation in Pega LDAP?

I don't this is the behaviour of Pega, Just want to double check. Appreciate any feedback
