Unable to interrogate 2nd level menus of OOTB Pega Menu Items
Hi,
I tried to see if I can implement a POC for Pega Automation (ie., automating a Pega application) using OpenSpan. I encountered a roadblock here.. I am not able to interrogate the 2nd level menu items of Pega. Have anyone tried interrogating a pega application and were you able to successfully interrogate menu items? If Yes, can you guide me BKM’s around that handling the second level menus?
PFA. I am unable to interrogate the Profile and Requirements menu.

Hello Prakash,
You can interrogate 2nd /3rd etc levels of menu:
1. Start interrogation
2. Press web controls tab
3. Press button List Browsers and Frame
4. Select correct browser
5. Below that window you have a filter select there "A" selector
6. Press List web Controls (this will take some time)
7. Find in the list "A" selector by looking at "OuterText" attribute in Selected Web Control section
8. Right click on the "A" selector and press Create control.

I am able to interrogate 2nd level menu items in Pega. Thanks for your help. Currently, I have numerous A tags listed. Is there a short way by which i can list down only "A" tags that i need by specifying it in List Web Controls section? (Or) Do i need to manually check every "A" tag?

Hello Prakash,
Im not aware of any search for List Web control. But there is a second option to interrogate items. You can interrogate any web control of the same tag name and then change match rules to be what you are trying to match to. But here you have to remember that the control has to be in same hierarchy as the webpage.
