Unable to Dynamically set a value in the footer for a word template via Pega PRPC
I have a requirement to generate a Word Document on a button click in a portal. I want to add some dynamic data in the footer (like property values which will contain case ID or embedded ) such that it cannot be edited and appears in every page footer. How to achieve the same ?
I have tried using {pega:reference .pyID} in the footer but its not displaying the pyID value rather its giving the same static text in the footer as {pega:reference .pyID}. Is this a limitation in Pega ? Any workaround for this problem ?
Note: The existing articles on the PDN is not giving any concrete solution/details on this issue.

I have researched this issue and have found that Word Templates in Pega only support dynamic content in the body of the template. Unfortunately dynamic content is not supported in the headers or footers. This is described in the following support article.
The current suggestion is to include any dynamic content you wish to display within the body of the Word Template. We do not have a way to support the Microsoft header and footer dynamically.
So instead of using the header / footer, make the body content itself include the content of the header and footer organized properly with HTML code.
