Timeout for Thread Level Passivation
Hi ,
Could you please help me out with the timeout for thread level passivation in the below scenario.
Pega by default assumes the browser level timeout as 60 min and hence the thread level timeout as 30 mins if not explicitly defined in the DSS.In the below scenario what would be the thread level passivation timeout .
Scenario is I have explicitly defined the thread level passivation timeout dss prconfig/timeout/thread as 28800 but not defined the requestor level.
What would be the thread level passivation timeout ?

Assuming the default browser timeout is in use and passivation is enabled, this thread timeout setting will not be used.
Once the requestor is passivated based on the default interval (60 minutes) all associated pages and threads will be passivated as well.

In one of our environments thread level timeout is 28800 and passivation is enabled.
Requestor timeout is default (i.e 60 min) but the thread is getting passivated at 30 mins .Could you suggest what needs to
be checked and any steps to follow like restart etc..

Ideally these timeout works independently, so if you have set thread/time out as 30 minutes it should save threads after 30 minutes. If it is not then may be check the setting is correct or not. Also to confirm if passivation worked or not, you can check all passivated requestor in SMA - Advanced > Passivation Management.
